Ooemaru Shima is ranked third on the Meikan chart by the Japanese Fukiran Society this year. This variety is very uncommon and difficult to come by. It is well known for its comb-like shima variegation on its broad leaves which may become wider on the newer growths. The flowers are pure white in colour, around 4 cm in size and have a strong jasmine-like fragrance.
