This jewel orchid species is prized more for its foliage than its blooms: the leaves are velvety, deep green to dark maroon, and intricately veined with shimmering gold or copper lines that create a striking network pattern. Its flowers are small and less showy, appearing in summer on an erect, pubescent inflorescence up to 20 cm long, with white or greenish-brown blooms.
