The plant has 6 growths with leaves and a few back bulbs. The longest leaf is around 40 cm in length. 
The plant is grown from a cutting of the exact parent plant in the flower images. The parent plant has won awards previously at an orchid show in Japan. The flowers have green fur with reddish sepals, with great form and size. This colour form is extremely rare and not easy to find. Bulbophyllum phalaenopsis is one of the largest Bulbophyllum species. The leaves of mature plants are more than 1 meter in length.
