This rare alba form of Cattleya tenebrosa is celebrated for its large, waxy flowers. Unlike the typical form, which displays dramatic bronze-copper petals and a dark purple lip, the alba variety produces green petals and sepals with a pristine white lip. The flowers are large, reaching up to 16–18 cm across, and are produced 3 to 4 per inflorescence in summer. The blooms are short-lived but fragrant.
