This sibling cross combines two of the most sought-after color forms of the Amazonian species Cattleya violacea. The amesiana parent is a rare, select form prized for its distinctive deep pink flowers. The coerulea parent is celebrated for its cool, ethereal blue-lavender flowers with a dark blue lip. This cross is expected to produce large, well-formed flowers, likely in the 10–13 cm range, which will be long-lasting and intensely fragrant.
