This exciting batch of seedlings represents a cross between two selected forms of the revered Brazilian species Cattleya walkeriana. Seedlings from this batch are most likely to exhibit the striking vinicolor characteristics—large, fragrant blooms in deep pink to wine tones with excellent substance. However, there is a small but exciting chance of producing the elusive marmorata form, which typically displays a marbled or mottled pattern on the petals. The flowers are large and carry the species' signature sweet fragrance.
