The plant is bred from a select variety of Cattleya warneri. The flowers express beautiful blue to violet-blue pigmentation instead of the species' typical pink or lavender. The 'Renata Dihel' clone is recognized for its large flowers and excellent form. It is an excellent parent for breeding unusual blue or violet hybrids and is highly prized by collectors.
