This striking and elegant species is celebrated for its exquisite, fragrant flowers, which present a captivating color contrast of crystalline white petals and sepals, veined and tipped with violet. The bloom's most distinctive feature is its beautifully fringed, heart-shaped lip, which is pure white and edged with a delicate, feathery margin, often adorned with brilliant tangerine or yellow markings on either side. The flowers, which are about 5 to 8 cm in size, are borne generously on leafless canes, with multiple blooms appearing at each node.
