This medium-sized epiphytic orchid is distinguished by its unique growth habit: long, slender, zig-zag stems are densely covered with overlapping, triangular leaves. The flowers are about 2.5 cm across, colored yellow with attractive reddish-brown markings on the lip. Blooms appear sporadically throughout the year,  carrying a light scent.
