This Oeceoclades species native to Madagascar is quite uncommon and difficult to come by. The plant has unique dark purple pseudobulbs and dark green leaves. This species is slow-growing and it takes a long time for plants to mature. The inflorescences of the plants are tall, around 30-40 cm in height and usually hold around 30 flowers.
