This Bornean species is highly prized for its unique and fragrant flowers. The waxy, star-shaped blooms (around 5 cm) feature a creamy-white or pale yellow background heavily barred and spotted with cinnamon-brown to reddish-brown markings. The flowers emerge sequentially on a short, arching inflorescence and typically release a sweet, spicy scent.
