This impressive and rare species, closely related to the famed P. gigantea, commands attention with its massive, nearly meter-wide foliage of rounded, silvery-green leaves. Native to Borneo, it produces substantial 6 cm flowers with a creamy to greenish base densely marked with chocolate-brown to maroon spotting. The blooms are notably rounded and well-proportioned, carrying a subtle, fresh fragrance.
