Phalaenopsis tetraspis f. imperatrix is a stunning form of the species prized for its striking colour variation and compact, free-flowering habit. This epiphytic orchid produces arching inflorescences carrying 4 to 8 fleshy, glossy blooms that are strongly fragrant. While the typical species is predominantly white with variable red to purple markings, this particular purple form is distinguished by its deep purple flush, especially on the petals and sepals.
